SGH Warsaw School of Economics and Daftcode launch the second edition of CEO Academy — a series of seminars where top executives of successful Polish startups will teach students about growing ventures on global markets. The program is a part of CEMS Skill Seminar.

CEO Academy: Growth Strategies for Global Tech Startups” is a series of lectures and workshops that will allow students to gather practical knowledge in the area of building growing, international, enterprises. The participants will learn the ins and outs of creating effective growth strategies, how to scale products on international markets, and what set of skills is required to successfully manage a tech startup.

The lectures will be led by top executives of successful tech companies, such as Perfect Gym, EL Passion, Performante, Booksy, and Skriware, as well as venture capital firm Inovo VC.

CEO Academy concludes with a contest in a form of one-day workshops. The participants will make use of their knowledge and skills by preparing a market launch strategy for real products. They will be supported by mentors — CEOs of Daftcode ventures: Nethone, Straal, Indoorway and Skriware. The best will participate in the individual mentorship program.

– CEMS Skill Seminar consists of classes that help students gain practical knowledge and skills wanted by employers. Such cooperation with businesses benefits both sides, but, most of all, students. It’s not only a certificate of participation and an entry in a CV, but also a unique knowledge that gives significant advantage on a job market — said Professor Piotr Płoszajski, Head of the Management Theory Department, Warsaw School of Economics.

– What I liked the most about CEO Academy is the diversity of experiences and perspectives presented by lecturers and mentors. We learned about creating market launch strategies for digital products, running effective marketing campaigns, as well as ways of growing the business on international markets. After the course, I’ve joined Indoorway, where I became responsible for marketing activities. Working here means lots of challenges, new experiences every day and plenty of opportunities for personal development — said Julia Saniewska, Community Manager at Indoorway, also a participant of last year’s CEO Academy.

Last year’s edition of CEO Academy had 30 participants, selected from over 150 applications.

– Courses led by Daftcode experts extend students’ know-how with knowledge and skills that give a pass to work with the most innovative projects. Together with the best technical universities in Poland, we lead classes for developers. Only last year our seminars attracted over 900 people. But growing tech companies need not only the work of engineers but also excellent strategy with the successful execution. We want to share this knowledge with SGH students. The success of last year’s CEO Academy only proves that there is a big need for such work — said Jędrzej Szcześniak, Daftcode Co-founder.

CEO Academy 2018 starts on March 13th and concludes on May 12th. Registration closes on March 5th and is open for every student of SGH Warsaw School of Economics, who wants to combine academic knowledge with practical experience proven by real-life track record.

The seminars will be held at the Warsaw School of Economics, and the contest final will take place at Daftcode’s headquarters in Warsaw Spire.
